If your flight has a connect flight in another state can you get off and leave from that state or have to fly?
Heres my example. I want to fly from dallas tx to atlanta ga. My flight leaves dallas and goes to charlotte north carolina and i change planes there and then fly to atlanta ga. Im going to upstate sc so can i just get off in charlotte and can they give me my luggage and let me just leave from there so my family can pick me up at charlotte airport or do i have to get on the 2nd plane and fly to atlanta georgia. I will have 2 carry ons and one checked in bag. so i wander if they will off load my checked in luggage and let me get off in charlotte. (its alot cheaper to fly to atl ga then directly to charlotte? go figure)

you can ask them to ship you your luggage from that place to where you want to get off depending on your airline. and if your checked bag is small enough then you can just pay for a third carry-on (or two) and ya. or if you can't do any of those then you could always ship your checked bag from your house to where your family is (w/ usps ups) and then only bring your carryons onto the plane (genius =D)

you have to go altanta your luggage will for sure aslo if you dont show up for your connecting flight the ailrine May contact the police to start looking for you thinking you are lost (in fact i have heard that in some cases they have even closed down the airport lookimg for someone who (if pardon the expresiion jumped ship midstream) also if you have any return resveations you can kiss those reservations bye bye! eeven if you have tickets also if the airline gets wind of your plan they have ever right to charge the current fare DFW to CLT not a good idea

Sure, you can get off, but your luggage won't.

Bad idea all around. If you have a round trip ticket, and you do not board the connecting flight from Charlotte to Atlanta, then the airline will cancel the return portion of your reservation - and you will not get any kind of refund or credit for the cost of that flight segment. You would be better off changing your flight to go only from Dallas to Charlotte.

It might be as the Traffic to atlanta is less than to charlotte. If u request them kindly not to do a through check in of the luggage then it is possible, but u might be breaking a rule.I they do that then u can simply collect ur luggage and head off.
