Cheapest Flight Panama City to Dallas?
I am looking to find a good deal on a one way ticket from Panama City, Florida to Dallas, TX on August 20th (Friday). I am not sure if booking a last minute flight would save me money?? I would love to spend less than $250 if possible, but I would love any advice!

Last minute booking gets you expensive tickets. Since you're flight is in three days, I wouldn't expect anything below $400 at least.

I am currently searching Priceline.com for one adult on your travel date. The cheapest I found with taxes was $335 from Panama City (ECP) to Dallas-Love (DAL) via Memphis on Delta Airlines. IT is also $335 if you wanted to fly into Dallas-Ft. Worth. If you try flying on Saturday the 21st, your ticket may be cheaper. Priceline.com Good luck!

I found $319 on Southwest (http://www.southwest.com ) and $335 on Delta (http://www.delta.com ) both are to DAL and Delta can go to DFW for the same price. if you don't mind going from Pensacola, it would be $267 on US Airways (http://www.usairways.com ) or from Tallahassee would be $266 on United (http://www.united.com ) both to either DAL or DFW but those are kind of out of the way. It is hard to find cheap fairs at the last minute.

How much time does it take to get from Seattle to Dallas on a non-stop flight?
I am looking for the hours actually spent on the plane, not depart and arrive time because hours spent on a plane are not affected directly by regional time periods.

Can I book my luggage on Domestic Flight for my international flight?
I'm am going from the US to Dubai from Houston, TX. I'm going from Dallas to Houston first (its an independent flight from my International flight) I wanted to know if i can book my luggage fro Houston-to-Dubai flight from the Dallas-to-Houston flight. Or do i have to take my luggage from baggage claim at Houston Airport and book it again for the flight from Houston to Dubai.

It's going to depend on two factors -- whether the domestic and international flights are on the same ticket, and whether the airlines are the same or different. If the flights are on different tickets, then the chances are good that you'll have to claim your bags in Houston and then recheck them onto the next flight. If they're on the same ticket, then the chances are better that your baggage can be checked all the way through from Dallas, but that will depend on whether the flights are on the same airline or not as well. If the flights are on the same airline and were purchased as a single ticket, then it is definite that they will transfer your luggage to the second flight for you. If you're flying on separate airlines, whether they will transfer the luggage will depend on whether those two airlines have interline baggage agreements. If the agreement exists, then your bags can be transferred for you, but if no agreement exists, then you must claim your bags yourself. If your flights are on separate airlines, you'll want to check with them to see whether an interline baggage agreement exists.

A Rough Flight To Dallas, Texas?
The flight was coming into Dallas when a combination of mechanical errors and unstable weather caused the plane to start plummeting to the ground! The pilot feverishly worked his controls, and finally, the engines roared back to life in time to prevent the plane from going splat on the ground! As the plane landed, airport officials rushed to the disembarking gate and were stunned to see 200 midgets shakily get off the plane. Finally the crew got off the plane and the local manager of the airline came up to congratulate him on his perseverance under extreme odds. As the official and the pilot were talking, the official commented how unusual it was that there were so many midgets on the flight. "Those weren't midgets," the pilot replied. "Those are Texans with all the crap scared out of them!"

You can search from the two airports that serve Dallas (DFW and Love Field). Try all the airports near NYC as well...sometimes certain airports are cheaper than others. Also, look at flights with more connections, instead of non-stop. This makes for a less pleasant day of traveling, but, will save you money. I've always liked Priceline. I know it has some drawbacks in that you don't know the exact departure time but I have got some incredible prices using Priceline. Another one I use frequently is www.hotwire.com It's a good one. Good luck

I'm looking to start flight training in the DFW area. I'm wondering if anyone has particular recommendations or insights to offer. I'm leaning toward one of three outfits at Addison Airport (Monarch, Classic, Lone Star) but am happy to consider anything. Basically if you've had a good/bad experience anywhere I'd love to hear about it.

How do I get from Toronto to Dallas?
I want to visit my cousin, she lives in Dallas But, it's really expensive to fly there. My friend said I should fly out of Buffalo because it's cheaper, but I don't have a car, so I can't drive there, and it would be rude of me to ask a friend to drive me all the way there. So does anyone know how I can get cheap flights to Dallas from Toronto? Is there an amtrak train I can take? That takes forever but I think its cheaper.

Hey there. I'll be traveling to Toronto for the 4th of July weekend. I haven't been Canada in 15 years. And I have NEVER traveled to Canada by plane. Can I bring a carry-on for my flight to Toronto? Someone told me that carry-on bags are not allowed for international flight from the US. Also- My checked bag will contain only my personal clothes, some toiletries, and a digital camera. Will I have to declare all of those when I go through US/Canadian customs? What if I buy a shirt as a souvenir while in Toronto. Will I have to tell US customs about that, too?

You can bring a carry on (regular sized) bag and a personal item (something that will fit under a regular plane seat purse, briefcase etc) and you won't have to worry about it if it's in a carry on, also if you buy a shirt it's just like you brought it, I don't know where you got your info from but please don't listen to them ever again

Absolutely you can have carry on for your flight. The only thing you need to watch is the size of the bag. Check the airline website for maximum dimensions. You need to be aware though that certain items must go into your checked baggage. Again the airline website should have a list of items that you can't carry onto the plane with you. While you're on the flight you will be given a Canada Customs declaration form to complete. It will ask a few simple questions that you'll need to answer. Personal items such as clothes, toiletries and a camera will not be an issue. When you return to the States you'll go through a similar process in reverse. You'll get a US customs form on the plane to fill in. Bringing a souvenir T-shirt back to the States will not be an issue. Check the US Customs Service website to find out the maximum $ value you're allowed to bring into the country without having to pay duties.

Window seats are the BEST. If you can get a window seat the time will fly without you even noticing because it's just so awesome to see the clouds, and to be flying and just living the experience!! Take a book, book of search and finds or crossword puzzles (something to distract if you get bored but you can easily put down too), take an MP3 player or portable CD player but with all music you've put together that really celebrates life and being excited about being alive to go with the experience.

Are you allowed to check in during stops in between flight? ?
I need a one way flight from Dallas to Chicago this weekend but it cost about $300 with no stop. On the other hand, a flight from Austin to Chicago on the same day with a stop in Dallas cost about $170. Can I book the Austin flight but check in and depart from Dallas?

Will my American Airlines flight from London to Dallas have personal in flight entertainment?
I'm on a Boeing 767-300 and want to know wether to take a portable DVD player as looking up at the shared screens hurts my neck, can anyone tell me wether they have back-of-seat TV things on this aircraft? Thanks

I need a flight to Dallas for A-kon
I need a flight to Dallas for A-kon?
I have looked for days to find an affordable flight to Dallas, Texas for the A-kon Convention (largest Anime Convention in the US.) Last night I finally found one but then when I went back the next day to book it, I couldn't find the flight. If anyone can find me this flight, one cheaper, or a cheap plane ticket/hotel site I would be very greatful. This means so much my sister and I. The website was Expedia We would leave from CHS on May 28 We would make a connection to Chicago, then go to Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW.) We would stay at the Days Inn Texas Stadium Irving The Convention is at 400 Olive St. We would leave June 1. Go from DFW to Washington DC, the CHS. There will be 3 people going, My father, my sister and myself. Ages are adult, 12 and 14. Most important! The flight I found was 901 for flight and hotel. It needs to be under 1000 dollars.

You might try Southwest Airlines.... They are usually fairly price and cheap. However, you have to change planes either in Okahoma City, Houston, or New Orleans that will take you to Love Field in Dallas, Texas....much closer to the A-KON Convention than DFW Airport. Also, for hotel in Downtown Dallas it is going to be a bit expensive. However, there are low price Motels/Hotels that are along the northern part of Dallas next to the DART Rail line, which takes you to the Pearl Station next to the hotel where A-KON is located. - - - - - - P.S. I will be working as a volunteer at the A-KON again this year. In case you are interested.

Because air fares in the USA ricochet up and down like a ping pong ball, you have to keep checking websites regularly and then book the flight the instant you see a good fare. It might not be there in the next 10 minutes if you don't!

A Rough Flight To Dallas, Texas?
The flight was coming into Dallas when a combination of mechanical errors and unstable weather caused the plane to start plummeting to the ground! The pilot feverishly worked his controls, and finally, the engines roared back to life in time to prevent the plane from going splat on the ground! As the plane landed, airport officials rushed to the disembarking gate and were stunned to see 200 midgets shakily get off the plane. Finally the crew got off the plane and the local manager of the airline came up to congratulate him on his perseverance under extreme odds. As the official and the pilot were talking, the official commented how unusual it was that there were so many midgets on the flight. "Those weren't midgets," the pilot replied. "Those are Texans with all the crap scared out of them!"

Question regarding timechange from NY to Dallas
Question regarding timechange from NY to Dallas?
As a gift, I booked my husband on a flight to Dallas to the Texas Stadium to see a Cowboys game. The game is at 3:15pm and he arrives at 11:05am that morning. Does the landing time reflect the time in Texas or the the NY time? I am assuming it is Texas' time. Can anyone ease my fear?

Depends on how long the time is between your connecting flights, and how the legs of your flight are arranged. Assuming you're coming into the country through Atlanta, you'll deplane at the International Concourse, which is separate from the main domestic concourse by a couple of miles and a series of train rides. Most likely, the next leg of your flight (from Atlanta to Dallas) will be on a domestic carrier, which would depart from a domestic concourse (A, B, C, D). You'll have to come through U.S. customs and check your bags, which would then be rechecked to continue on to your final destination (Dallas). Again, depending on how long the time is between your arrival and departure flights, you could have time to meet someone in the main terminal complex, where ticketing and baggage claim and security are located ... again, a train ride away from the gate concourses I mentioned above. There's a large mall / atrium / gathering place there to meet up with visitors, but thats as far into the airport non-travlers can go (you have to have a ticket to go to the gate areas). And keep in mind no matter what that you'll have to pass through several security checkpoints no matter what your plans, and those take time. If you meet a friend in the main terminal, for example, give yourself plenty of time (an hour at least) to get back through the main security checkpoints and to your departure gate to Dallas. Remember, the Atlanta airport is the largest and busiest in the world ... it's a model of effeciency on most days, but you never know what might happen. Does this help?

They are NOT checked through to Dallas!!!!! They may be tagged through, but they will NOT be checked through!!! You will then clear U.S. Customs and in the next room is a baggage recheck area. On the far right hand side of the room are two bag belts. Drop your DFW-tagged bags on the belt. If for some reason the bags are not tagged through to DFW, you need to go to the baggage recheck desk across from the belts and have an agent tag them for Dallas. You will then clear a security checkpoint and then make an immediate right, then a left to the down escalators. Take the airport train to the "Terminal/Baggage Claim" stop. That is 6 stops from Concourse E. When you get there, go up the escalators. The person who's meeting you should stand at behind the stanchions the airport has set up near the rental car counters that you'll see as soon as you get off the escalators. Hurricane Ike might cancel flights into Dallas
Hurricane Ike might cancel flights into Dallas?
I have a flight Miami/Dallas at Noon this Sunday , after coming from Colombia (South America), how do i know if my flight will be cancelled do to Ike and how much time before that day will I know so that I might try to get a flight from Miami to Seattle without stopping.I might have to pay a big Penalty though.. Thanks!

I'm not sure, but chances aren't likely. Most likely is probably you'll get transferred to another flight, or you'll get a refund. BTW, isn't Ike still in the Caribbean? It shouldn't cancel you flight in Dallas if it's still in the Caribbean. Hope this helped! Jerry C.

Unfortunately, airlines tend to wait until the last minute to cancel or change flights. I'm afraid, based on current projections, a Dallas flight on Sunday might very well be affected. It's up to you to decide if you want to deal with flight delays or if you are willing to pay for the guarantee (if such a thing exists) that you won't have one.

Super cheap flight to Dallas?
I need a website that has super cheap flights from Houston to Dallas, preferably under $250. Thank you so much!

I went to Planetickets.com (http://www.planetickets.com) this morning and saw american airline (www.aa.com) doing a sale to Dallas. Also check out Southwest airlines (www.southwest.com).

Connecting flight in Dallas
Connecting flight in Dallas?
I'm arriving at Terminal D from an international flight, and catching a connection flight to Chicago in Terminal A. I am not american. Do I have to clear customs here or in Chicago? If I do have to clear them at Dallas, how long does it take to clear customs?

Dallas. Once you arrive, you are then connecting to a terminal that is domestic, so youll clear it in Dallas, collect your bags, and then have them rechecked/rescaned by american authorities and then go on to Chicago. It depends on the time of day and day of travel as to lines for non american passport holders, and sometimes what country your from, also time of year. Plan on 1-2 hours in line though during busy times, non busy times though it can be as short as 10-20 minutes. Enjoy your trip on American, there a good carrier.

Clearance can take up to an hour...maybe more, if several flights arrive at same time, which is entirely possib;e in afternoon (BA, LH, American from lots of places)...but when you are done, you just hand in your suitcase outside customs, take the train to Terminal A, and go on your way.
