A non stop flight on AA would leave DFW at 12:25 and arrive in SJ at 2:15, but because of the time difference it would actually be a 3 hour 50 minute flight.

Cheap flight from Dallas to Massachusetts
Cheap flight from Dallas to Massachusetts?
I'm visiting a friend in Massachusetts at the end of the summer and im looking for a flight cheaper than 323 dollars, any suggestions? I've looked arond but would appreciate any help in finding a cheap flight

End of summer is peak travel season, and if you're going to Massachusettes, I would assume you're going to Boston, so you have a lot of competition from not just vacationers, but from business travellers. Check fares across a whole week; it is usually cheaper to fly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, and sometimes these prices differences are significant; these are the days where business travellers aren't flying as much, so the airlines cut fares to fill the planes with leisure travellers. But with most planes flying close to full these days, and cutbacks on service/number of planes flying, I wouldn't hold my breath on getting any better deals. I did find $225 on airtran (before taxes) going DFW-ATL-BOS in the second week of august so I'd hop on that fare.

I am currently searching Cheapoair.com on August 18th to August 25th, and the cheapest flight I found for one adult with taxes to Boston is $251 on AirTran from Dallas to Milwaukee and then onto Boston. Then, on the way back, Boston to Baltimore, then to Dallas. I got this from Cheapoair.com Good luck, and have a great trip!

I think you can carry it, but it can't be turned on.

You should ask to your airline as new security measures have been implemented after what happened 2 days ago in UK. I heard you can't bring any carry-on now. Just a plastic bag with your wallet and that's it.

No, I've heard that all electronic items including cell phones are banned until further notice. You're not even allowed to bring your keys if you have a wireless remote key fob on your keyring! Contact the airport and have them provide you a list of prohibited items so your boarding won't be delayed due to security infractions...

Right now with yesterdays terrorist scare they say you can. I heard on the news that you can but they will make you turn it on and off at at least two check points . That is so they know it is a real phone.

Many carriers do allow you to have it on during taxi to the gate after landing though, so you can call whoever you're going to see. or check messages, etc. Be sure to put it in a container and remove it from your pocket as you go through security.

The airline's website should give you that information or look on websites such as orbitz.com or kayak.com Remember that Dallas, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona are in different time zones, compounded by the fact that Arizona does not follow Daylight Savings Time. So, if you just look at the departure and arrival times you will get the wrong information since they are given in the local time of the respective airports. The actual flight time cannot be calculated by simply looking at those times. You have to adjust for the time zones and for Daylight Savings Time practices. It's best just to look for the time of the flight duration given by the airline or by one of the websites.
