Where can i find cheap flight tickets for travel in March or April Dallas-Amsterdam?
I am looking for the cheapest tickets possible and am willing to buy early enough.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. 13 hours to 19 hours from Amsterdam to Dallas depending on how many stops you have and the airline you travel on. 50 minutes from Dallas to Austin.

Depends which flight connections you're booked on; there aren't any nonstop flights between Dallas and Amsterdam. The shortest possible routing currently for AMS-DFW is 12 hours and 25 minutes with KLM to Houston, connecting to Continental to Dallas. The shortest scheduled flight connection from AMS to AUS is 12 hours and 16 minutes; KLM to Houston, Continental from Houston to Austin. DFW-AUS by itself, shortest scheduled flight time is 50 minutes.

Direct flights from Dallas to Montreal
Direct flights from Dallas to Montreal?
Looking online it appears that there isn't any direct flights between Dallas and Montreal. Is this true? If so why? It seems a little strange that two of the countries biggest cities wouldn't be connected directly by any airline!

American Airlines has a non-stop flight from DFW to Montreal. It is flight #802, leaving 2:40 pm.

You could research the current flight rates on Travelocity, Hotwire, Sidestep or any of the airline websites. Then you could go to priceline and try to undercut the going rate by naming your own price. You have to be fairly close to the going rate though or they will refuse your bid. Try to fly on Tue, Wed or Thurs if you can. Red-eye flights are cheapest.

Have you tried Mobissimo? Mobissimo checks the same places that Orbits & Travelocity does, as well as several sites they do not such as Southwest.

Check Southwest Airlines. Unfortunately the travel search engines like "Orbitz", "Expedia" or "Travelocity" don't carry Southwest Airlines.

cheaptickets.com; orbitz.com. I've gotten the best results from these two sites. If you have more time, you can check the others (travelocity and what not). Book in advance (at least 2 wks prior to departure date) and mid-week to secure better rates. Also, if u go during a major holiday, u risk getting worse rates.
