the only way to answer that would be to check their website on updated flights, but last i heard on the news was that they will begin flights again in a day or so, but there will just be some delays

I bet there will be! they are offering refund waiver for Friday also; if you really gotta be where you're going, I would strongly suggest making alternate plans!

I just changed a flight that was canceled for tomorrow and after over an hour on hold with AA, they initially offered to change my flight to an early morning flight on Friday. When I asked about the plane, I learned that it was also an MD80. Apparently, their reservations reps don't think their Friday flights will be canceled. However, when I expressed concern about changing to another flight with an MD80, she said something like "good point" and offered another alternative on a plane that's not an MD80. What I read is that there are 300 MD80s that were grounded on Tuesday. 30 of these were placed back in service today. I seriously doubt they will have all these back up by Friday. So, if I were you, I would try to change the flight or buy another ticket (fully refundable) with another airlines in case your flight gets canceled and you can't fight a new flight. Or....you can just wait it out and hope for the best. Good luck.

i think yes

I would expect that their planes would all be operating at full strength sometime next week. My recommendation is to find out what type of aircraft you are flying. Your flight might not even be affected.

Booking a flight to L.A from Dallas... what is up with electronic tickets

Booking a flight to L.A from Dallas... what is up with electronic tickets?
ok so I want to buy a ticket but it says electronic tickets Issue my ticket electronically at no additional charge By selecting this option I agree to the Terms and Conditions of Travel. I understand that I will receive neither a ticket nor a receipt in the mail, but will be able to access and print my receipt online. and if I want a paper ticket, it cost over $100 bucks... I don't get it..why is that? what is better?

You should be able to get your confirmation number and possibly even select what seat you want to sit in. Once you arrive at the airport, enter the confirmation number in the self-check kiosk and you can print your boarding pass. I think a paper ticket costs more because of the processing fee and having to mail the ticket.

Airlines are all doing E-tickets. Whenever you call to book your flight on the phone, or go to the airport to buy a ticket, airlines are charging a lot more money. All airlines have shredded their reservations staff, so it does cost a lot of money to pay agents to do phone bookings and postage. $100 too much? I think so, but I wouldn't mess with it when you can do everything from the internet. You'll get an email with your travel itinerary, and your confirmation #. You'll be able to check in for your flight 24 hours in advance as well as change your seat assignments. And depending on what airline you are flying on, you can prepay for any bags you're checking in.

Hi, Don't be confused and don't worry, E tickets are much safer than old type paper tickets, to give you more idea please refer to this link: http://studenttravel.about.com/od/planyourtrip/qt/etickets.htm Best wishes.

Here is a link to the DFW airport guide: http://www.dfwairport.com/guide/index.php You can download a map of the terminals from that page, which may be helpful to you. If you are flying any airline other than American, the odds are almost 100% that the gate for your connecting flight will be in the same terminal in which you landed. American Airlines has a lot more flights going through DFW, so you might have to go from one terminal to another. This should not be too difficult. There are plenty of maps of the terminals posted within the airport. If you are on a flight during "normal" hours, there are volunteers who can help you find your way. They wear straw hats, nametags, and i think green or black vests, and they are usually older folks. They can help you if you're uncertain of where to go, as can airline employees at the gates. Good luck and have a safe trip :)

That's a perfect length of time, especially if your flight comes in late. Just enough time if you need to change terminals or find your gate in the same terminal and grab a snack if you want to. But not too much time to get restless. The volunteers are easy to spot if you need any help, so don't worry about that. Enjoy your trip.

On a normal day and for a seasoned traveler it is very good. However, we had a tough time flying AA. They change terminals for departure very late. Note that these are not gates, but terminals as well. We ended up changing 4 times once. If not, AA then may be better. In general, that is plenty of time, if the flight is on time. If not you could scramble a little. Let the air hostess know that you are traveling by yourself for first time and you need good directions to get to the next terminal and you should be fine.
5 :
Yes, just get directions from the internet or a GPS and you'll be fine.
6 :
All of the eating places are inside security and there is a free people mover that runs between the terminals over the top to take you between terminals and to give you a great view of the airport if you have extra time. The D shaped terminals have good seating out of the flow of traffic with WiFi hot spots and outlets for power if you wish to go that way.

Many can be cheap Try using expedia, and checking the flight for several different days - the prices vary widely.
2 :
Southwest usually has the cheapest. I travel a lot and I love Southwest. Their flights are usually much cheaper than other lines and they don't charge for the first two bags. Other lines charge about $20 per bag. Plus I love their unique boarding procedure, where you check in and get a number, line up according to that number, and then choose your own seat.
3 :
delta or AA
4 :
I would look into Southwest Airlines. They have a hub in Midway and fly out of Love Field.
5 :
There is no specific flight which provides cheapest ticket. Price of tickets depends upon many things. It vibrates according to situation. Airlines flights divided in to two parts Economy, Business. And in economy class the rate is little bit difference. It’s better to call a travel agent for the discount offer. Although you can compare the different Airlines fares by using travel planner. View this site the flights offer is classified in to economy, business http://www.cheapticket.co.uk/australia/adelaide.aspx This type of site is very good to customer. It’s clearly showing the flights and their economy fares. Hope it will help you to find cheapest ticket from Dallas to Chicago :)
