why does it cost so much to fly on british airways?
they want $2,500 for a oneway flight from dallas tx to dublin ireland.

Like everything else you are paying just for the name, the expensive adverts,the posh uniform etc.

One-way flights are often significantly more expensive than round-trip flights.

I hate that, too. BA is extortionate. It's also most likely down to the added tax, if it's a last-minute booking, and what day of the week you've found the price. Saturday nights are the worst for buying airline tickets.
